Very often, we need to get SMS-messages from either one or more senders. And everything appears to be okay- until you realize that the message wasn’t delivered properly. You’re probably thinking: “Why am I getting error messages about sending SMS to this phone number?” Or worse: “I tried to send a message but it just keeps refusing to go through.”
That’s when people using a mobile number for SMS begin getting errors. Some even call their service provider and complain of poor performance because of this issue. It can be caused by several reasons. The most common ones are as follows:
I don’t have a subscription with a service provider: The first and the most obvious reason is that you don’t have a reliable SMS service provider in your area. If you’re lucky, you’ll still have one. But in most cases, those who don’t have any reliable SMS providers don’t have free numbers to receive SMS from. And in some cases, free numbers are used by people who don’t have a cell phone plan, or who don’t want to pay monthly SMS charges.
I don’t have a large number of friends locally: You might have a few friends in your area. But if you also have a large number of friends in different cities or even countries, it would be really inconvenient for you to call each and every one of them just to ask if they’re free numbers to send you SMS. This is especially so if you’re not going to use the phone number for SMS calls only. In this case, the best solution is to use free sms numbers for sending personal data and not for other purposes.
I don’t want to sign up for a new service: If you’re unwilling to get a phone number for sms receiving, or if you don’t have a large number of friends, or if you don’t want to sign up for a monthly mobile service, you can always go for virtual numbers. These are numbers that can be used for sending SMS without having to switch over to a different service provider. You can either get a completely anonymous virtual number for free or a service that offers various free services to attract customers. You can then sign up with the virtual number and start using your free SMS message service.
I’m not comfortable with traditional phone call and SMS marketing: You can still use traditional methods for SMS marketing. But as long as you’re sending unsolicited bulk messages, which can be considered as spamming, you won’t be able to do so through me. This makes the electronic payment solution a good option for those who don’t want to annoy their existing number. The virtual number doesn’t add any additional fees to your bill and you don’t have to worry about annoying your existing customer. The only thing you have to remember is to set up an account before sending bulk messages and follow the terms and conditions for sending SMS from your existing account.
